Wolf's Rain

Wolf's Rain takes place in a post-apocalyptic time when much of the world has been ecologically devastated in a form of fimbulwinter and most people live in poverty. The location is not specified, but many pieces of writing, such as road signs, food labels, and computer monitors, use the cyrillic alphabet. A legend is told in the Book of the Moon that wolves are mystical beings who came to the world from a place called Rakuen (楽園, Rakuen? Paradise), at the dawn of time and will one day find a way to return to paradise. They must first seek out the Flower Maiden (花の少女, Hana no Shōjo?) (a being created from the essence of lunar flowers) to guide them to paradise. This legend is nearly forgotten because wolves were thought to have been hunted to extinction nearly two hundred years earlier. Some wolves, however, have found a way to survive by coexisting with humans and blending into society, using illusions (not shapeshifting, as many have mistakenly thought) to appear human themselves. Cheza

The Flower Maiden (花の少女, Hana no Shōjo?), a girl who is artificially created from a lunar flower by the noble Darcia the First using the lost art of alchemy. She was in a state of suspended animation in a scientific research lab, and was awoken by the presence of Kiba. She shares a special bond with the wolves and is the key to finding Paradise. It is said by Darcia the Third that she is blind.(Wikipedia)

Why and I a Fan? Well, I'm hoping that if your reading this that you've seen the series. If not, I don't want to ruin anything for you so please don' read this part ^_^ Well, I find the ending of the series a bit spressing, since everyone basically died at the end *I couldn't stop crying after Toboe and Hige died.... and Cheza too!! All of them, it was so sad:(* But the reason I love Cheza is because of what she's about. She was created from a lunar flower, and made to lead wolves into paradise. She had a sense of purity about her, and her interaciotns with Kiba made me gush inside ^_^. She was certainly my favorite character, and even though the series was short lived, it will always e one of my favorite ever Manga's/animes :) .
